About Die Casting

• Die-casting speed selection

If the filling speed is too small, the contour of the casting can not be clearly defined and even can not be arranged. If the filling rate is too high, it will cause the casting to be viscous and increase the porosity in the casting, which will decrease its mechanical properties.

• General principles of filling speed selection

For castings with high wall thickness or internal quality requirements, low filling speed and high pressure ratio should be selected.

High specific pressure and high filling speed should be selected for castings with high requirement of thin wall or surface quality.

The casting temperature of alloy is low, and the thermal conductivity of alloy and die material is good. When the inner runner has a thick bottom, choose a higher filling speed.
