INTRODUCTION

Low alloy high strength structural steel is made by adding a small amount of alloy elements on the basis of carbon structural steel (Wc=0.16%~0.2%). It has good weld ability, plasticity, toughness, processing technology, better corrosion resistance, higher strength and lower critical transition temperature of cold brittleness. Their grades are basically the same expression as those of carbon structural steel. It is suitable for manufacturing large steel structures of railway, high pressure vessel boilers, automotive tractors and large military engineering.
